John Hancock All-Star FanFest
July 9-13, 1999
Hynes Convention Center

Fans entering the John Hancock All-Star FanFest will find themselves on the "Line Drive Level." From here, fans will find a number of choices, including:

A stroll down "Pedro Martinez Lane" to test their gaming skills in the FanFest arcade.

A trip along "Mark McGwire Drive" where they'll pass through the All-Star Bazaar on the way to the Collectors Showcase and the Major League Baseball Legends section.

A walk down "Carl Yastrzemski Way," which leads to the World's Largest Baseball, the Knothole Gang, bat and ball making demonstrations, and exhibits from the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Negro Leagues and the Minor Leagues.

The second floor, or the "Grand Slam Level," will give fans the chance to test their skills against both the pros and each other.

Sammy Sosa Drive will be the gateway to batting cages and the Rookie League t-ball station. Fans can also head for the Video Batting Cages and Bullpen where they can match their batting and pitching skills against videotaped stars.

There will be two baseball diamond areas set up, including one with A.L. and N.L. dugouts, plus a chance for fans to test their baserunning at the Steal Home Challenge area.

Ted Williams Way, closest to the Steal Home Challenge, will allow fans to have their photos taken at both the Hometown Heroes Team Photo station and the Baseball Weekly Cover Photo booth.
