Other Professional Involvement
Dr. Cash has worked with many
companies and governments around the world in both consulting
and teaching assignments. Before his graduate education and
joining
the Harvard Faculty, he worked as Director of Data Processing
for several years, which followed jobs as a systems analyst,
systems
programmer, and applications programmer. His research focuses
on the role of information systems technology in large
corporations
where the function and technology are of strategic importance
to the firm. He is currently involved in projects exploring how
companies are attempting to use information technology to improve
organizational effectiveness, and in the associated business
transformation
process.
