from Rolling Stone
to Wenner Media's more recent additionssuch as US The Entertainment
Magazine and Men's Journal. His journalism experience began
at NBC and Ramparts Magazine.
He began Rolling Stone in 1967.
He began Outside Magazine in 1977, then sold
it to another publisher two years later.
In 1989, he assumed ownership of US Entertainment Magazine.
In 1992, he launched Men's Journal.
In 1993, he premiered Family Life then sold it two years later.

Accomplishments
Won five
National Magazine Awards. One was with David Black's feature on AIDS, "The
Plague Years." One was after Wenner commissioned Richard Avedon to shoot
a fifty-six page portfolio of prestigious Americans entitled "The Family."
US magazine's circulation ranks as the leading comprehensive
entertainment magazine with 5.5 million readers.
Professional Activities
Vice Chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.
Serves on the board of the Robin Hood Philanthropic Foundation.
Participates in the success of Family Life Magazine
