Peter Gay, 54, of Tewksbury: Senior troubleshooter for Lexington-based defense contractor Raytheon Co. He was on his weekly transcontinental commute. Gay was well-known in the area after previously managing Raytheon's big plant in Andover. At Raytheon, he had worked his way through the ranks after starting as a summer intern thought Northeastern University's co-op program. Fellow employees recalled Gay as a talented manager with a quick wit and a passion for sports like volleyball. He leaves his wife Linda and three children.
