It's a strange feeling watching the horror unfold on television from safehaven Switzerland. I wasn't able to contact friends/family in/near Methuen and DC until after 3am (phone lines busy). The hardest blow came when I saw that 2 of the airliners were out of Boston. The other Americans living abroad that I've talked to, like me, feel removed, cut off, and wish more than anything to be home right now, to be with our friends and families, and "properly" feel. My heart goes out to all of you. Stay strong.

I'm absolutely stricken by what's happened. Yesterday people in Bangor were waiting in line for six hours to give blood, it seemed like the one thing we could do when we were feeling so powerless up here. To the families and friends of the victems, you're not going thru this alone, all of America and much of the world is grieving with you.

We all our in this together. This American tragedy has shown the rest of the world just what the "United" States of America is all about. I have seen and heard and read about the coming together of people all over this land. People talking, crying, uniting and grieving together. that is a wonderful thing to experience. the whole world's prayers and thoughts are with you in your grief.
