NEW YORK -- Former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan was granted a leave of absence from CNN's "Crossfire" yesterday as he considers a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000. His last show will be today. Buchanan was the conservative voice on the nightly political debate show when it began in 1982.
