Forbes drops by, bearing gift

ANCHESTER, N.H. - Republican presidential candidate Steve Forbes unveiled his economic package yesterday at the home of a state employee and teacher.

But while Stephen Frink said he liked Forbes and calculated that his family would save $1,000 under the proposed flat tax, he wasn't ready to sign on the dotted line.

''I'm seriously looking at Mr. Forbes,'' said Frink, who considers his family - he has a wife and three children - a typical middle class one. ''I am very glad he came.''

Forbes said his plan would expand the economy by 75 percent.
