HONOLULU -- Vice President Al Gore collected 12 Hawaii delegate votes at the Democratic Party convention this summer while former presidential candidate Bill Bradley picked up two during party caucuses last week, state party leaders said Monday. A presidential preference poll was used to apportion 14 of the state's 33 Democratic delegates. The rest will be chosen by their political office or selected later by party leaders, who will apportion them to the candidate of their choice. All are expected to go to Gore. In the "Super Tuesday" contest, Gore won 1,080 votes and Bradley got 235 votes. Delays in getting information from neighboring islands delayed the party's final report. |
