Bob Norton serves as the color analyst for NESN's Providence Bruins, Beanpot and ECAC Hockey coverage. Norton started at NESN in 1985 during the network's Hockey East coverage. In 1989, Norton added minor league hockey to his announcing duties at NESN. The former co-captain of the Rutgers University football team has also delivered color commentary during NESN's local college football coverage.

Norton began his broadcasting career as a color analyst for UNH Hockey with the Wildcat Sports Network in 1976. He also worked as an announcer for UNH football and hockey on the Wildcat Radio Network. Norton has also served as an analyst on ESPN during the NCAA Hockey semifinals and finals since 1992.

The Watertown, Massachusetts native has been recognized with many broadcasting awards and nominations. He has been awarded two New England Emmys; in 1980 for his work on UNH hockey telecasts and in 1988 for his color commentary on the Beanpot Tournament.

Norton spent over 25 years as a coach. During that time he had the opportunity to coach many future NHL players including Gordie Clark, Bob Francis and Bruce Crowder. He has also served as an assistant football coach at Holy Cross and UNH.

In 1998 Norton was named the New Hampshire High School Principal of the Year. He currently works as the principal of Woburn High School in Woburn, Massachusetts.
