If you could spend a day with anyone who would it be? I'd play 18 holes with Bill Murray
What was your most embarrassing moment on television? Going all out to do a feature on synchronized swimming. I wish I left my shirt on.

Eric Frede joined NESN in 2003 as a NESN SportsDesk anchor and occasional field reporter for the network's Boston Red Sox coverage. NESN SportsDesk is a sports news and highlights program that airs from 5 - 9 AM each morning with a unique 15-minute rotating format.

Frede got his start in broadcasting at a small TV station in New York covering West Point sports, calling Marist College basketball games on the radio, and working as a production assistant at NBC Sports. He then moved on to become a sports reporter/anchor at a station in Bangor, Maine and then at WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Arriving in Boston in 1998, Frede served as host of Boston Celtics pre-game, post-game and magazine shows on Fox Sports Net New England, and has provided play-by-play for the New England Revolution, Boston Breakers, Hockey East coverage and America East basketball telecasts. Frede has also called sports nationally for WUSA, WNBA and SpeedChannel telecasts as well as the NCAA Men's hockey regionals and NCAA women's hockey championship.

Frede has received several honors and awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Reporting.
