Sam Horn enters his first season as a Red Sox Studio Analyst before and after select Boston Red Sox games on NESN. Horn joins Bob Rodgers on The Boston Globe Pre-Game Report, NESN's half-hour Boston Red Sox pre-game show, and after the game on W.B. Mason Extra Innings, the network's popular post-game show.

Horn played parts of eight seasons in the major leagues, including three with the Red Sox (1987-1989). The first baseman joined the Red Sox in July of 1987 after hitting 30 home runs for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He went on to set a Major League record by hitting 10 home runs in his first 82 trips to the plate. The Dallas, Texas native, played for 3 more major league teams, finishing his career with a .240 batting average and 62 home runs. In 1997, Horn was voted as a member of the Pawtucket Red Sox 25th anniversary team.

Horn currently resides in Rhode Island with his wife and 3 children and is the owner of the Around the Horn Sports Center, a year round indoor training facility.
