Stop 15:
The Old North Church

Location: 193 Salem St.

Built in 1723, as "an house of prayer for all people," "Old North" or Christ Church is the city's oldest

standing church. From its steeple sexton hung two lanterns to warn Charlestown that the British were crossing the harbor on their way to Concord.
