Cam Neely serves as a Boston Bruins Studio Analyst on NESN during select Boston Bruins games. His duties include pre-game analysis on The Boston Globe Pre-Game Report, intermission commentary, and post-game analysis during the network’s Boston Bruins post-game show Overtime.
One of the most popular Boston Bruins of all time, Cam Neely played 10 of his 13 NHL seasons for the Black and Gold. Displaying a blend of toughness, intimidation and scoring touch, the British Columbia native exemplified the term “power forward." Despite numerous injuries, Neely scored 344 goals for the Bruins (fifth on the team's all-time list) and still holds the Bruins' all-time record for playoff goals with 55. He played in five All-Star games and was awarded the Bill Masterton Trophy in 1994 as the player who best exemplified the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.
Since retiring from hockey in 1996, Neely has dedicated much of his time to The Neely Foundation, which he founded while playing for the Bruins. The Foundation provides shelter as well as support services for families of both adult and pediatric cancer patients undergoing treatment at New England Medical Center. Aside from his work with the Foundation, Neely has appeared in five motion pictures, Monument Ave., Dumb and Dumber, Mighty Ducks II, Me, Myself & Irene, and What’s the Worst That Could Happen.
