Dale Arnold was named NESN's Boston Bruins play-by-play announcer in 1995. A versatile announcer, Arnold has been recognized, along with the rest of NESN's Bruins broadcast team, with two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Sports Play-by-Play coverage by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences New England Chapter in 1995 and 1999. Currently, Arnold serves as NESN's play-by-play announcer for most Boston Bruins home games with his partner former Bruin Gord Kluzak.
An over 20-year broadcast veteran on both radio and television, Arnold began his professional play-by-play career as the radio voice of the AHL's Maine Mariners in 1979 after graduating from Bowdoin College in Maine. He moved on to become the radio voice of the New Jersey Devils in 1986, a position he held for two seasons before returning to New England in 1988. Arnold did play-by-play for the New England Patriots for three seasons, then joined WEEI sports radio in 1991.
During the 1994-95 season Arnold worked as the radio play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins on WEEI. He has also served as the play-by-play announcer for WEEI's Boston College football broadcasts.
In addition to his duties as play-by-play announcer for NESN's Bruins telecasts, Arnold can be heard weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on WEEI Sports Radio 850 with co-host Bob Neumeier.
