AL 9, NL 7
This was the game in which the New York Giants' Carl Hubbell struck out, in succession, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin. After Bill Dickey singled, Lefty Gomez became Hubbell's sixth whiff in two innings. But the Americans bounced back to score eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings en route to a 9-7 victory.
