1947:
AL 2, NL 1
Selection of the starting lineups, except pitchers, was turned over to the fans for the first time since 1934. The Yankees' Frank Shea, who pitched the middle innings, became the first rookie to get credit for an All- Star victory. A single by the Senators' Stan Spence in the seventh made the AL a 2-1 winner.
