NL 5, AL 3
Only 44,160 fans, some 30,000 under capacity, watched at Cleveland as the Nationals ran past the Americans, 5-3. Willie Mays had but one hit but drove in two runs, walked once, stole two bases, and scored twice. Both of Mays' steals and one by St. Louis' Bill White set up NL runs.
