1962:
AL 9, NL 4
Boston's Pete Runnels, who hit only 49 homers in 14 seasons, had the first of three AL homers during a 9-4 triumph in Game 2 at Wrigley Field. Rocky Colavito's three-run blast in the seventh put the game out of reach. Leon Wagner also homered for the AL. Dodger catcher John Roseboro had the lone home run for the NL. It was the last of the two-game years. Over the next two decades, the AL would win only one game.
