1994: NL 8, AL 7 (10 innings)
The Padres' Tony Gwynn slid home beating a relay throw from the outfield to score the winning run in the 10th inning as the NL snapped a six-game losing streak 8-7 in Pittsburgh. The game went to extra innings after Atlanta's Fred McGriff blasted a two-run, pinch hit home run in the bottom of the ninth. Marquis Grissom also homered for the NL. A spectacular play by Cardinals shortstop Ozzie Smith, 39 years old and playing in his 13th All-Star game, helped save the day for the winners.
