During the official bridge dedication ceremony on Oct. 4, 2002, Bruce Springsteen performs his classic, "Thunder Road," which was also played at Zakim's funeral in 1999 as his casket was taken from the synagogue to the cemetery. Zakim was a huge Springsteen fan, and forged a friendship with the rock superstar toward the end of his life.
