Nantucket Museums

Nantucket is steeped in history. It has more buildings listed in the National Register of Historic Places qualifying as totally preserved buildings than anywhere in Massachusetts. From 1800 to 1840 Nantucket Island was considered the Whaling Capital of the World. Brant Point is the site of the second oldest lighthouse built in America, constructed in 1746.
