    Michael Robinson-Chavez | Biography

    Michael Robinson-Chavez, a California native, graduated from San Francisco State University in 1994 and took a job with the Associated Press in Mexico and Panama. In June of 1995 he took a job with the Boston Globe where he currently lives and works.

    He has won awards from the National Press Photographers Association, the Society of Newspaper Designers, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the Boston Press Photographers Association.

    He is currently at work on a long term project about Peru and Latinos and their relationship with baseball here in Boston.

    Tragedy strikes Columbine
    Globe Staff photographer, Michael Robinson-Chavez was sent to Colorado to cover the tragedy that hit Columbine High School after two students opened fire. This gallery represents a brief selection of his work documenting the aftermath.
