105th BOSTON MARATHON How to qualify for Boston Marathon 2001
It's not too early to start thinking about the 2001 Boston Marathon, which will be run on Monday, April 16.
How to qualify
Marathon participants must run a qualifying time on the certified 26.2 mile course between October 1, 1999 and March 1, 2001, on a course sanctioned by the US Track and Field, or foreign equivalent.
Proof of qualification must accompany the application. All participants must be 18 years or older on race day.
Applications will be available later this summer. Send a self addressed stamped envelope to the Boston Athletic Association.
Other details will be released shortly.
Go to the Boston Athletic Association homepage to read more about entering the race.
