While it offers a range of items with aquatic motifs, from videotapes to stuffed animals and books, the Aquarium shop doesn't have the depth of many other museum stores in the area. The emphasis here seems to be more on tchotchkes and less on education. There are some lovely artworks of hand-blown glass, but they're displayed on shelves behind the checkout clerks, and hard to see. Low end: Your child can make his or her own ocean environment with more than a dozen plastic sea creatures included in the Nature Tube. $7.95. From the ocean to your ear: Sea glass dangling earrings, featuring the smoky, colorful, rounded glass you find washed up on beaches. $21.95. Keeping time: An assortment of standing clocks and wall clocks with wood frames and aquatic themes. One round, green-stained wall clock, running for $69.95, has a face decorated with darting, swimming and lounging frogs as well as dragonflies.
